Amazon listing translator
Amazon tells you what a product is called. This tells you what the numbers and abbreviations in that title actually mean, in the same words the rest of this site uses, and then checks whether it is a type PepPrep stocks.
What this does: reads gauge, needle length, capacity, U-100, luer-lock, water type, filter size, pack size and a few warnings out of a title. What it does not do: judge the seller, the price or the reviews; the listings guide covers those.
The numbers, in order of how often they trip people up
- U-100 vs U-40. Same-looking syringes, different scales. U-40 is for animals and reads two and a half times differently.
- cc vs mL. The same thing. 0.3 cc is 0.3 mL is 30 units on a U-100 scale.
- Gauge runs backwards. 31G is thinner than 30G.
- 5/16" is a length, not a gauge. It is 8 mm.
- "Sterile" is not "bacteriostatic". Sterile water is single-use; bacteriostatic water keeps 28 days.
