Brother P-touch Label Maker
The label maker labs and pharmacies use. Prints on laminated TZe tape, which is the part that matters: the label is sealed under plastic, so cold, damp and alcohol don't touch the print.
- Laminated TZe tape (waterproof)
- 9–12 mm labels
- Keyboard or phone versions

Why you’d want it: Handwriting on a curved 3 mL vial is the worst handwriting anyone does. A P-touch label with the date and name is still readable in a dim fridge a month later, and it doesn't lift.
Picking tip: Any P-touch model that takes TZe tape is the right answer; the differences are keyboard versus phone app, and price. The cheap direct-thermal sticker printers (Phomemo, Nelko, NIIMBOT's D and B series) print on paper-like labels that fade and lift in a fridge — fine for a pantry, wrong for a vial. The ribbon-based NIIMBOT M2 is the exception and has its own entry. Buy 12 mm black-on-white TZe tape, and a 9 mm roll if your vials are the small 3 mL kind.
