Dimethyl sulfoxide at 70% in a gel with aloe or water, the form sold as a topical carrier. Pharmaceutical grade (99.9% pure DMSO) is the only kind that belongs on skin.

Why you’d want it: It is here because people ask for it by name as a penetration enhancer. It is a serious solvent, not a moisturiser, and the page says so: it carries through skin whatever is on the skin with it.
Picking tip: Wash and dry the skin first, because DMSO carries in whatever is there, including soap and lotion. Clean hands or gloves, never near the eyes, never on broken skin, and patch-test a coin-sized spot first; some people react. Expect a garlic taste and smell for a few hours; that is the DMSO, and it is normal. Do not use it with anything you would not want inside you. Not sold on Amazon Australia.
